How to check your resume keywords

Paste the job description into the first box and your resume text into the second, then choose Check keywords. The tool pulls the important words out of the job description and shows which ones your resume already has and which ones it is missing.

Good to know

  • Everything happens in your browser. Your resume and the job description are never uploaded or stored anywhere.
  • Common words like the, and and of, and words shorter than three letters, are ignored so only meaningful keywords are compared.
  • Missing keywords are listed most frequent first, so you can see which ones matter most in the job description.
  • The match percentage is a rough guide, not a real applicant tracking system score.

No. Your resume stays on your device, and the keyword check runs entirely in your browser.

How is the match percentage calculated?

The tool counts the distinct keywords in the job description and shows what share of them also appears in your resume. Common words and words shorter than three letters are ignored.
