How to use the codes
Type text or a URL once, choose the QR size and error correction level, then generate both codes. Download each code as a PNG and print it or share it.
Good to know
- Both codes are made in your browser and never uploaded.
- A QR code can hold a URL, a short message, or other text. A Code 128 barcode is best for short product codes and labels.
- If a QR code is too long for the chosen error correction level, shorten the text or choose a lower level, such as L or M.
- Print barcodes at a size scanners can read, and test a printed copy before printing a whole batch.
Questions
Is my text uploaded?
No. Both codes are generated in your browser on your device, and your text stays on your device.
Why does a barcode look different from a QR code?
A QR code stores text in a square grid, while a Code 128 barcode stores it in vertical bars. The same text can be used for both, but scanners read them in different ways.
