How images become pages

Each image becomes one page, in the order shown in the list. The PDF is built on your device, so the images do not need to be sent anywhere.

Good to know

  • Your images are turned into a PDF in your browser and never uploaded.
  • Use Up and Down to change the order. The first image becomes the first page.
  • Fit within page keeps the whole image visible, with empty space on the page if the shapes do not match. Fill page scales the image until it covers the whole page, so parts at the edges may be cropped.
  • A4 pages are 595.28 x 841.89 points and Letter pages are 612 x 792 points.

Choosing a page size and fit

Choose A4 for the page size used in most of the world, or Letter for the page size used in the United States and Canada. The choice only changes the size of each PDF page; it does not change the images themselves.

Choose Fit within page when nothing in an image may be cut off, for example a document or a photo with detail near the edges. Choose Fill page when the page should have no empty space, for example a full-page photo.

Questions

Are my images uploaded?

No. The PDF is made in your browser on your device, and the images stay on your device.

How many pages will the PDF have?

One page per image, in the order shown in the list.

How do I change the order?

Use the Up and Down buttons next to each image. The order in the list is the order of the pages in the PDF.

What is the difference between Fit within page and Fill page?

Fit within page scales the image so the whole image fits on the page, leaving empty space if needed. Fill page scales the image until it covers the whole page, so parts at the edges may be cropped.

Which image types can I use?

Common image files such as JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF. JPG images are placed directly; other images are converted on your device before they are placed in the PDF.

Can I make a PDF from a single image?

Yes. Add one image and generate a one-page PDF.
